Wave After Wave

Wave after wave
Of loneliness swept
Her once broken heart.
As she peered on the
Blank canvas before her,
Long buried tears only
Magnified her question
Of the art she created.
Some would blame it
On the blue moon,
She knew it was
Long forgotten dreams
Of hopes and buried pain.
She had no idea why
She felt so cursed,
Not finding comfort
In the usual verse.
No peace in the fumes
Of the paint-dipped brushes
Longing for swipe on the canvas.
Twas time to face those
Ugly, buried torments.
Time to unleash, set them free
Tonight, she would
Enter that restricted area
From where the demons
Played and reigned.
