Painted Dreams

There is no regret in a life fully lived,
Each moment painted with brilliant hues
Embedded in our hearts, vividly revived,
Each sorrow, each joy a mixture of you.
Skies azure blue waiting, anticipating,
The unexpected heart beat
The creation so breathtaking
Your legs become weak at this grand feat.
Dawn brings its glowing ambers,
Cast from violet Indigo nights,
Where monsters play among untold fears,
And courage and bravery take flight.
Days painted in titanium red passion,
Hints of emerald, sapphire, topaz yearning,
Put together, telling a wondrous vision
Of a soul soaring through lessons learning.
In the end, awaken to the bright new canvas,
Laugh among the meadows of your own making,
This is the beauty, not the madness.
Once life is lived, there’s no retaking.

  1. I love this: “Each sorrow, each joy a mixture of you.”

    And these:
    “Dawn brings its glowing ambers,
    Cast from violet Indigo nights,
    Where monsters play”

    “emerald, sapphire, topaz yearning,
Put together” … Now that’s a gorgeous puzzle!

Oh, wow. Yes: “Laugh among the meadows of your own making” … That is the line of the day, for sure.
