Stone Cold Heart
Her heart was said to be stone cold,
Hardened from too many betrayals,
Too many lovers who took her love
And twisted it cruelly, but truth be told,
Her heart was not hardened,
Was not cold as stone at all.
No, her heart was weathered and worn,
As the storms crashed at her walls.
Twas said she built those walls
Tall and strong to keep lovers out,
But many wonder if those walls were built
To keep her love held close without doubt,
Until one day, one brave soul dared to enter,
And love her strong enough, tender enough
To draw her heart to the open.
