Today is Day Two of #OctPoWriMo poetry challenge. Today’s challenge is a Kyrielle form. I’ve not written this form, but here goes…
The Void
Life swirls and twirls and it rumbles,
The pen slips and curls and fumbles.
Words fail to speak the path well trained,
See? My heart song is not so drained.
Through tears and fears, I was cheated,
Seemed all my thoughts were depleted .
Yet I refused to be so shamed,
See? My heart song is not so drained.
I sit today without regret,
I have a survivor mindset.
This story will not be kept chained,
See? My heart song is not so drained.

Very well done, I love it! I’m glad you stuck with it even though it was difficult. It inspires me to keep my chin up. Lovely.

Thank you! After reading yours, writing for the self fills the void. It’s when we write for others that we miss our own marks.

I agree. Quite freeing when you leave judgement behind.

Good to know I’m not the only one keeping such ungodly hours in the name of writing poetry…:)

A normal routine for me. If I can’t sleep, I write. Lol
