Regardless the impregnable facade,
The emotions and memories of
Leftover deceitful fraud
Rise up as bitter bile
Buried in disguise of forced smiles.
I can paint such a pretty picture of
Contentment and bliss,
But, in your wisdom and love, you see,
No, you know,
There is so much more to this.
No matter how hard I try,
I simply cannot hide
The inner turmoil inside.
You pull the words from somewhere deep,
Those dark forbidden words,
I dare not utter.
Hold me now, in this terror-filled hour.
Wrap your love around me,
Show me your gentle power.
When all I desire is a place to disappear,
Chase away those tormenting fears.
